I think this was the realest interview I ever heard on this topic, especially with the question. usually the question is posed in such a way as "Is the prosperity gospel wrong?" or "what are your views on the prosperity gospel?" and so forth and then cats just start goin in. but piper here took a good approach and had a great question asked of him (not saying that he planned it) and the outcome helped me.

We will always disagree, but the key is how do we address those disagreements. The thing many have tried to do is say that certain people aren't brothers and therefore false teachers and as a result believe you can just treat them any kind of way. Pastor Fred is a brother. I praise God for his humility and I pray that the interview is a blessing to people.
Episode 145: Intervi...
this is a great interview cuz to me the greatest heresy preached today is this denominational and theologically beefing. In 1 Cor 12:21 says The eye cannot say to the hand, “I have no need of you,” nor again the head to the feet, “I have no need of you.” and as a reformed cat that goes to Oral Roberts University and Victory Christian Center a word of faith church in Tulsa, but listens to John MacArthur and John Piper i been waiting for something like this. Yes we may not agree but we got...

Corruption
written by Jeremy, January 23, 2010
Wade-O,

I was listening to this past episode and the discussion on why we as Christians need to donate money to the Hatian relief effort and had a question that arouse out of a conversation I had with some brothers from church. We were talking and discussing about giving money and we felt that giving money to political systems that were corrupt or full of known corruption was counter productive. At the church I attend, we are putting together a canned food drive instead because we feel that this will better be used by the people who need it. I understand that money needs to be sent, but I am more inclined to donate money through organizations that will see the money is put towards the people and it does not go through the hands of corrupt leadership. Do you feel we should still donate money knowing that it will get misused or should we look for other avenues to donate through? I was curious to find out what your thoughts on this were and if possible Richard Dauphin and Richie Righteous's thoughts on that as well. The reason being is that, I can not remember who made the comment, some one said that they do not need clothes right now but money. I could be wrong on what was said, so if what was said needs to be clarified please do so, the last thing I want to do is put words in someone's mouth.

Great Points...

Personally, I hear you on the curruption. But I have never heard any hard core claims on the Red Cross. Secondly, this is what they do - disaster relief. If funds is what they say they need to get the job done, you have to trust that they know better what they need to help people than we do, since they are on the ground in Haiti and have experience doing this.

I'm not saying clothes or food won't help. My church just had a huge drive as well. But I think you just have to try to make the best decision possible given the circumstances and I think sending money is the best bet.
